Love Smudge Wand with Rose Quartz

High vibration smudge wand with rose petals and a rose quartz crystal attached. Created to amplify the cleansing energy and welcome love. The Love Smudge wand is helpful for healing the heart and to open yourself up to receiving and giving love.

Smudging is an ancient practice where sacred plants are burned to allow the smoke to clear any stagnant energies while simultaneously setting an intention and raising the vibration. It has been used to bless, cleanse, and heal people or places in various traditions . Smudging can clear the body, energy, and space of negative energies. Scientific studies have also shown that smudging removes airborne bacteria. Smudging an area can feel like a beautifully refreshing experience, somewhat like taking an energetic shower.

Rose Quartz: A beautiful pink gemstone that lifts our vibration to the pure energy of unconditional love, bringing us to a state of peace, happiness, forgiveness, and compassion. It allows us to see the beauty in ourselves and everything around us. One legend says that Eros brought rose quartz to humans in hopes that its colour would arouse desire and love in our hearts.

Burning sage is a personal ritual and there is no wrong way to do it. This is what I recommend:

1. Light the sage smudge stick and gently blow out flame. Use the white smoke to purify and cleanse your area and/or crystals. Always use a heat-safe dish to catch the ashes.
2. As the smoke wafts from the smudge stick, sage yourself using the feather to direct the smoke towards your body to cleanse yourself. I follow the First Nation’s smudging steps to clear any negative energy and then to set the intention to only see the good in others (see below).
3. Sage your space, starting at the front door or entrance to a room and walk counter-clockwise through your home/office and into each room. I typically say white light stays, dark energy leaves. You can also set a different intention for different areas: for example, to cleanse away worry and welcome inspiration, or to cleanse away self-doubt and welcome love. Then, open all the doors and windows; this is symbolic of taking out all the negative and unwanted energy.
4. When finished, extinguish your sage smudge stick by snuffing it out inside of a fireproof/heat-safe container.
5. Relight for other uses.

*The First Nations’ Elders or Spiritual Leaders would teach certain steps to follow when smudging: “When we smudge, we first cleanse our hands with the smoke as if we were washing our hands. We then draw the smoke over our heads, eyes, ears, mouths and bodies.
